Finding niche markets

Finding niche markets is a good way to promote your product.

http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ is a free site that allows you to see which search terms are currently being used.

We sell
calendars. If we type "calendars" in the search box, it shows us the top 100 searches pertaining to calendars: 1 is "calendar", 2 is "2007 calendar", 3 is "calendars" and so on.

This helps in placing the key words in our meta tags and order pages, it also helps in "paid per click" search engines and it allows us to know what the public is looking for.

If you sell real estate, try typing "real estate" into the search at
http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ - you will see the results vary. They allow you to market to what people are looking for.

Can also give KeywordSpy - a try for a keyword research tool, with results actually reflecting what advertisers are using at the current time.

This will give you an opportunity to immediately track down your competitors and gather keywords for the promotional campaign of your online business.
